HEENEY WATER DISTRICT

The Heeney Water District was formed in May, 2010 to purchase the existing privite water company and operated the system for the owners of the District. The water is supplied by the Halldorson Pipeline spring which only requires chlorination by the state as it flows by gravity down the hill for distribution to the residents. The system was orginally operated in the summer time, but now operates year round and requires constant bleeding in the winter to prevent the buried lines from freezing. To opeate and maintain the water system the District collects a property tax and an annual water fee.
